Please review the Manual for more information on uploading the OS or review the above page instructions. If you haven't already joined I highly recommend joining the Open Source FB Group for help, advice and updates.

Open Source FB Group (Manuals available in Files section)

I recommend adding the following defines to the top section of your config; to enable "Click to Change" for Dual Phase and other styles designed for this, to reduce the used memory on your board (if you do not need) you can also DISABLE_DIAGNOSTIC_COMMANDS.

#define COLOR_CHANGE_DIRECT
#define DISABLE_DIAGNOSTIC_COMMANDS

Default Colors

To make it easier for users I will build out multiple "default" colors for styles where applicable. This video covers the main default colors, as noted in the video, the Silver default blade with ColorWheel will react differently in color change mode as it is almost white, so when using the Silver blade if you try to change colors via the ColorWheel it will only change the "hue" of the blade but it will still be a "White blade".

Glad you're enjoying all of the new Styles

I will continue to develop and share new styles to all Proffie users, if you're an installer or vendor providing these styles or if you're just in a position to help offset the hosting costs for this site please click below. This is purely if you want to contribute, as more users are visiting this site Amazon wants their cut for traffic served.

This is 100% voluntary and using the honor system, if you are unable to contribute simply close this window and enjoy the styles (at least give me credit and maybe Subscribe to my channel to help me grow ;-).

If you're able to contribute thank you very much, this message will continue to pop up from time to time you can ignore it (it's not a smart form it's just a simple pop up- I'm not sophisticated enough to know who's visiting or what you're doing).

How to Use Styles for ProffieOS

The below styles need to be added to your config.h file. Please review the Manual for more information. You can either use your existing config file or generate a new one using the Tools below.

Styles are added to a preset, a preset is made up of the font name (sound folder on your SD card), track (music/track for preset) and the style code. This site will only generate the style code in the form of "StylePtr<...>(), if you have multiple blades (either physical or sub-blades) you need to have one style for each blade.

Additional Videos:

The correct syntax for a preset is, (exact spelling and case as well as all brackets and commas are required):

{ "font", "tracks/track.wav",
StylePtr<...>()
},

If you have 2 blades it would be (and so on):

{ "font", "tracks/track.wav",
StylePtr<...>(),
StylePtr<...>(),
},

Fett263 Buttons (Prop Files)

OS4.7 now includes a new 2 button prop file (for 1 button sabers I recommend either sa22c or dmitry prop files).

NEW! Gesture Prop File

Includes:

For more information visit: https://therebelarmory.com/thread/12344/gesture-control-quick-draw-swing

Original =

To use you will add this between #endif and #ifdef CONFIG_PRESETS in your config file (do not overwrite the existing #endif):

#ifdef CONFIG_PROP
#include "../props/saber_fett263_buttons.h"
#endif

2 Button Controls (PWR and AUX):

Customize / Enhance Your Main Blade Style

With the nearly limitless combinations of effects and styles I've now broken out certain effects and settings to make it easier to customize. For library styles that can run these customizations or enhancements you can now update or select the below options and get the style code created without additional steps in your config.

NOTE 1: default timings can be changed in your config.

NOTE 2: To keep this tool simple and easy to update, all added effects will be White mixes, you can customize as you like in your config and use White as the placeholder or run with the White version as is.

Preon Emitter Effects (on blade*) - requires preon.wav in font

Preon Effect ? Overview

  • Overload - the power in your kyber crystal will build up and unleash your blade ignition in a blast, 8000 ms (full animation default) - this effect works best with SparkTip Ignition and/or Power Up Effect (select below)
  • Erratic- meant to mimic a faulty trigger, the kyber crystal will give several "false" sparks until if finally catches and ignites, 8000 ms (full animation default)
  • Pulsing - your kyber crystal will pulse during your preon and then unleash your blade ignition timed by your preon.wav, 8000 ms (full animation default)
  • Pilot Light Spark - creates a Blue spark at the emitter timed by your preon.wav (max 8000 ms)
  • Rey TROS Spark - based on the emitter spark seen in Rey's new saber at the end of TROS, it will quickly spark Green to Blue and then ignite, the timing is based on the length of your preon.wav (max 8000 ms)
  • Emitter Heat Up - the energy will build up and heat the emitter from Red to Orange to Yellow to White and then release the blade energy,8000 ms (full animation default) - this effect works best with SparkTip Ignition and/or Power Up Effect (select below)
  • Power Absorb - this effect pulls power into the hilt until it reaches critical and then releases the blade, 8000 ms (full animation default) - this effect works best with SparkTip Ignition and/or Power Up Effect (select below)
  • Sparking - a continous random sparking effect for the duration of your preon.wav, 8000 ms (full animation default)
  • Spectrum Absorb - the crystal builds up by absorbing the ROYGBIV spectrum and rotating through colors until igntion, best used with a Rainbow or Color Run blade style, 8000 ms (full animation default)
  • Death Star Primary Ignition - the energy for you blade is builds up in intesity before firing at Full Power, 8000 ms (full animation default) - this effect works best with SparkTip Ignition and/or Power Up Effect (select below)
  • Infinity Stone Collection - collect the 6 Infinity Stones; Power, Space, Reality, Soul, Time and Mind to become the most powerful being in the universe - this effect works best in combination with a Silver blade variation and the "Infinity Stone Emitter and Blast" effect.
  • Glitchy Ignition - the blade will ignite and glitch in and out before true ignition, this is a Full blade effect, 800 ms default. Available in 3 variations in either White or Blade color, Stable, Unstable 1 (Fire), Unstable 2 (HumpFlicker), works best with a Power Up Effect for Ignition
  • Center Absorb - power is aborbed into the center of the blade and builds up until ignition, 8000 ms (full animation) - this effetc works best with Center Out Igntion Option
  • "Jump to Hyperspace" - this Preon is designed to work with the "Hyperspace" blade style and mimics going from a star field to Hyperspace as seen through the viewport of the Millenium Falcon
  • "Light the Fuse" - this Preon is designed to mimic a lit fuse (like a Firework) moving from the tip to the hilt and then igniting the saber. (default 5000 ms) "Fuse preon.wav"
  • "Metal Forge" Heat Up - this preon will heat up like a metal rod from Black to Red to DarkOrange to White hot and then into you base blade ignition (default 8000 ms)
  • "Sauron Awakens" - this preon will create the awakening of the "Eye of Sauron" in the center of your blade, this preon works best with the Center Out Ignition option. (default 8000 ms)
  • Summon Lightning - this preon will summon lightning to your hilt and then ignite your blade (default 8000 ms)
  • Polar Spark - this preon is designed for use with Shock Baton style and Center In Ignition, it creates sparks at the hilt and tip that then ignite the blade. (default 800 ms)
  • Seismic Charge - this preon will release a blue seismic charge from your hilt to the center of your blade to mimicFett's Slave I seismic charges. After getting to center it will hold and disappear for a second (if timed to your preon sound). This works best with a Center Out ignition. (default 2400 ms)
  • Faulty Ignition - inspired by Brian Conner's Ignition Redux, this Preon will have multiple "false" ignitions prior to your real ignition with an unstable appearance (default 6000 ms).

Note: Preon Effects will only show for the duration of the preon.wav, if your font does not contain a preon.wav these effects will not display correctly. If your preon is shorter than the default animation time the animation will cut off when the sound completes or some animations may be visible on the blade..

I default most of the preon effects to approximately 8000 ms, you will want to adjust the Transitions to total the time your actual preon.wav file plays for best results. I have a video here for how to update: Crash Course Lesson 2

Ignition Options

Lightning Block Effect ?

  • Responsive Lightning Block - this hybrid effect features a Force Lightning effect that dances along the blade, you can control the intensity of the attack by turning your hilt to have it be more intense of less intense. In addition, it uses Responsive control to "focus" the attack as you move your blade to the straight up position to give you a real immersion into the effect. It features a large initial blast transition in and a power absorption transition out to add to the realism.
  • Original Lightning Block - this version uses a randomized animation to represent blocking a Force Lightning attack, this version does not use Responsive Controls.
  • Force Lightning - channel your inner Sith Lord and throw Force Lightning through your blade, just be sure to stop if some Jedi using Lightning Block or you may risk permanent disfigurement.

Lightning Block End Transition ?

ProffieOS 5.7 Fully Responsive Neopixel Lightsaber Styles

Standard Lightsaber Blades

Fully Responsive AudioFlicker Canon Jedi/Sith Neopixel Lightsaber Styles

This is a "canon" AudioFlicker lightsaber style with full transitions and responsive effects. Multiple default colors available below. These styles also include color change using the ColorWheel to change the color of the base blade while leaving all effects unchanged.

Crossguard Styles (Blades 2 & 3) feature an IgnitionDelay and will only react to Lockup and LightningBlock effects, if you prefer to have the sideblades react as the main blade does use the Main blade style instead. You can remove the IgnitionDelay as well, remove "IgnitionDelay<550," from the beginning of the style and one closing bracket ">" from the very end of the style.

Crystal Chamber styles mimic the main blade and display all effects (you can remove as you like) but will Pulse when the blade is OFF in the base colors. Speed of the Pulsing can be adjusted at the end of the style.

Fully Responsive Styles included:

  • Responsive Blast = instead of a randomized location, the blast location is now based on the angle of your blade to create a more realistic and immersive blast deflection effect, it features transitions in and out that the user can choose and modify
  • Responsive Clash = instead of a randomize clash location, the clash effect will mirror the Responsive LocalizedLockup location to help with choreography and realism. The location of the Clash effect is based on the angle of your blade and allows you to line up clashes for the Responsive Lockup
  • Responsive Lockup = rather than an animated effect I would typically use to mimic blades sliding against each other in a struggle, LocalizedLockup now moves based on the angle of your blade allowing for a more realistic effect as you move towards yourself defensively the lockup slides down the blade and as you move your blade towards your opponent it will slide up the blade to give you a real struggle effect, it features a quick flash transition in like in the films and a power absorption transition out as the blade restores itself.
  • Responsive LightningBlock = this hybrid effect features a Force Lightning effect that dances along the blade, you can control the intensity of the attack by turning your hilt to have it be more intense of less intense. In addition, it uses Responsive control to "focus" the attack as you move your blade to the straight up position to give you a real immersion into the effect. It features a large initial blast transition in and a power absorption transition out to add to the realism.
  • Responsive Melt = based on the scene from EPI when Qui Gon is cutting through the blast door, melt mimics a surface being heated and melted, you control the "temperature" and intensity of the melt by turning your hilt it will heat the material from a Red to very hot Orange/Yellow and back based on turning of your hilt, it features a wipe in and wipe out transition to mimic the end of the blade entering and exiting the surface.
  • Responsive Drag = the tip Drag now responds to the turning of the hilt to increase or decrease the depth of the drag area. it features a burst and fade out transition
  • Responsive Stab = the Stab effect will change in size based on the angle of the blade, if you Stab downwards the effect will be a larger, deeper depth, it features a wipe in and wipe out transition

Jedi Fallen Order (Cal Kestis) Neopixel Lightsaber Styles

Based on the Jedi Fallen Order Video Game these styles are in the 9 available colors from the crystals available in the game and include the flicker/pulse effect from the game. In addition, these styles include a built-in "Force Slow" effect that will slow the blade for 30 seconds when you use the Force Effect to mimc the feeling of time slowing around you. After 30 seconds the blade will return to normal.

In the demo video I am using new features from OS5 including Multi-Phase, Multi-Blast and Battle Mode with Smart Lockup/Melt/Drag.
Multi-Phase enables live preset change, by setting up your presets in order with separate fonts for each color you can mimic the workbench in the game and have your blade color/style and sound all change automatically without having to retract the blade. On my prop file you will hold Aux and twist to advance presets (or Pwr and twist to go back a preset). Rather than ColorChange which only changes the Color of the blade, Multi-Phase enables a full change of color, style and font with one control. While changing the font.wav sound will play as it is the same as changing presets it just occurs while the blade is on. Depending on your font you may want to update this sound to use the menu sounds from the game to really complete the experience.

The Crystal Chamber style includes a sparking effect when the blade is off.

Unstable Blades

"Film-Based" Kylo Ren Unstable Neopixel Lightsaber (Static) Styles

This is my original "Film-Based" Kylo Ren unstable blade style. This is the version I've based on the Force Awakens in terms of timings and power bursts. Obviously, with digital animation certain elements of the film are impossible to reproduce on neopixel but for matching to the film this is the version I spent the most time on to match up. I have just introduced to new variations on this style; "Rage" and "Anger", with "Rage" being a faster and more intense version of this style and "Anger" being a slightly slower version. You can choose from these or the other unstable styles based on your taste and preference or you can edit and modify as you like.

It features a large initial blast transition in and a power absorption transition out to add to the realism.

"Rage" Kylo Ren Unstable Blade Style

"Rage" is a new variation on my original Kylo Ren Unstable blade effects. This version is a sped up and more intense version with a lot of activity and power run ups. This style is all a single color, so you won't get the white flashing that are in some of the other styles. This style is for those that want a little more intensity in their unstable blade without compromising the film look of being a single color.

"Anger" Kylo Ren Unstable Blade Style

"Anger" is a new variation on my Kylo Ren Unstable Effects, this version is a slightly slower animation but with a lot of intensity changes to still give a nice unstable look to the blade. This style is all solid color, so no white flashing or other color bursts, it's a film-based style with changes to the speed and intensity for those looking for a little slower unstable style.

Fully Responsive "Unleashed" Unstable Blade Style

UNLEASH YOUR ANGER! with this Unstable blade variation. This style is an overpowered unstable effect with high speed pulses and power bursts as the full power of your saber is "Unleashed".

Fire Blades

Blade Angle "Flame Control" Fire Blade Responsive Neopixel Lightsaber Style

This is a new Fire Blade with additional controls for the Flame. This version will slow the flame as you turn it down to the ground but now with BladeAngle it will also lowly reduce the size of the flame once you move below horizontal. All effects for these styles have been modified to work within the adjusting flame (Lightning Block and Drag are deactivated as they do not work with the base effects).

In addition, this style features the new ColorWheel variation that will change the color of the main blade without affecting the other effect colors.

Fully Responsive FireBlade (Responsive Flame - BladeAngle control) Neopixel Lightsaber Styles

This is a Fireblade style that uses the angle of the blade to change the speed of the Flame. Pointing up the flame will be its fastest and pointing down it will be its slowest. This style includes the ColorWheel variation that allows you to change the main blade color without affecting the effect colors.

"Eye of Sauron" Version 2 LOTR Flame Fully Responsive Neopixel Lightsaber Style

UPDATED: For all of the Lord of the Rings fans out there. I have new take on the "Eye of Sauron" featuring an ever-present "Eye" in the middle of your blade. There are several versions available for controls and movement:

  • Full Control - The "Eye" will focus as you turn your hilt allowing the gaze to seek out the One Ring (the turning of the hit will enlarge or shrink the eye in the center of the blade) and you can move the "Eye" along the center of the blade based on the angle of your blade.
  • Twist Control (Fixed Eye) - The "Eye" will focus as you turn your hilt allowing the gaze to seek out the One Ring (the turning of the hit will enlarge or shrink the eye in the center of the blade).
  • Twist Control (Moving Eye) - the "Eye" will move along the center of the blade based on turning your hilt, you can move the gaze of the eye along the blade.
  • Blade Angle (Moving Eye) - the "Eye" will move along the center of the blade based on angle of your blade, you can move the gaze of the eye along the blade.

The flames travel out from the center up and down the blade.

I have also built a new Preon effect called "Sauron Awakens" and a new Post Off effect called "Closing the Eye of Sauron" to pair with this new style. In addition, I recommend using Center Out Ignition and Center In Retraction to really finish off the style.

You can choose to grab the full style in the demo video with "Get Demo Style" or build your own with "Customize/ Enhance" in the Get Style Code section below.

Energy Blades

Fully Responsive Darksaber Neopixel Lightsaber Style with SwingSpeed

This style is based on the Darksaber as seen in the Mandalorian and Clone Wars TV series. It features a silver blade with running flicker that traces along the length of the blade,(for obvious reasons the black "core" of the blade will require an acryllic or physical black blade as leds cannot produce black as a color so on regular sabers this will appear as the outline effect for the real darksaber only). There are two versions Live Action (Mandalorian) which has a bluer hue and Animated (Clone Wars) which has a more purple/indigo hue. Both styles feature the ColorWheel variation to allow you to adjust the hue, since the blades are a "white" variation they will remain primarily white, only the hue will adjust.

Dual Phase Blades

Build a Dual Phase Blade - Fully Responsive Neopixel Lightsaber Style

Dual Phase lightsabers in Star Wars lore (such as Corran Horn's) house two crystals in the hilt, you can also select the method you desire to realign the crystals internally and produce a separate and distinct blade.

This style builder lets your customize your Dual Phase saber combining two blades and control them either by simply turning your hilt (each color is represented by 180 degres of the hilt turn), using "click to change" to switch with the ColorChange controls or embracing both sides of yourself with "Split Personality". Customize your perfect Dual Phase blade for your saber from a wide range of options.

Crystal Chamber - at this time you will need to use existing Crystal Chamber styles from the other library styles, the building method for this particular style doesn't support Chamber yet.

There are four control options available for switching between the phases:

  • Twist Control - turning your hilt 180 degrees will change between the styles instantly. This control does not use buttons, only hilt orientation to go back and forth.

  • Click to Change (Color Change) - this type uses the Color Change button control to change between the styles. You will want to ensure you enable "click to change" functionality by adding the below define to the top section of your config. Since this version uses ColorChange you can also choose the Transition type and time you want.

    #define COLOR_CHANGE_DIRECT

  • Split Personality - embrace your inner conflict and give into the split. The "Split Personality" blades will randomly and without warning switch between the two blade styles, do you have an inner light-side and dark-side vying for dominance? Unleash it on your blade with two unique personalities in a single blade. The blade effects will continuously change on their own with no set pattern, it's a randomized change that takes over your saber.

  • Oscillate - your blade will continuously Oscillate between styles/colors creating a unique blade effect

Fully Responsive "Pull to the Darkness" with Responsive Transition (Static Swing) Neopixel Lightsaber Styles

"Pull to the Darkness" follows the descent of Ben Solo to Kylo Ren, taking a Jedi's crystal and corrupting it to the Darkness producing an Unstable Red blade. Several starting colors are available and using "click to change" the saber will corrupt from a Jedi color to Kylo Ren's trademark unstable red blade. You can still redeem yourself by changing back. The corruption effect uses a responsive Fade so the speed of the descent is based on the angle of your blade with straight up being the fastest and straight down being the slowest.
